Description

Position Overview:
Communiboost We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Event Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in organizing and executing various events, from small corporate gatherings to large-scale public events. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their careers in event management and hospitality. As an Entry Level Event Specialist, you will work closely with experienced event coordinators, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of event planning and execution.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $30.25 hourly
Location: Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and organizing various events including corporate meetings, conferences, and social gatherings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and materials for the events.
  • Help in preparing event materials, including signage, registration lists, and event giveaways.
  • Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring everything runs smoothly before, during, and after the event.
  • Serve as a point of contact for attendees, addressing questions and issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and track event budgets, providing updates to the event manager as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for successful event execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and attendees.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of event management software is a plus
