The Immigration Specialist will serve as the sole immigration resource for our company, managing all aspects of immigration casework independently. This role is responsible for handling a wide range of employment-based immigration processes, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and supporting our consultants and internal teams throughout the immigration lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

● Serve as the primary point of contact for all immigration-related matters for consultants and internal stakeholders.

● Manage and process all nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including but not limited to H1B petitions, extensions, amendments, and green case processing.

● Prepare, review, and coordinate with a third-party immigration attorney to file necessary documentation with relevant government agencies, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

● Administer the STEM OPT training program, including drafting and updating I-983 forms and coordinating with employees and managers to ensure compliance.

● Draft employment verification letters and other supporting documents as required.

● Maintain and update Public Access Files in accordance with Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.

● Monitor visa expiration dates and proactively manage timelines for extensions and renewals.

● Partner with external immigration counsel as needed to ensure complex cases are handled efficiently.

● Stay current on immigration laws and policy changes, communicating updates and potential impacts to leadership.

● Maintain accurate and organized immigration files and records for audit readiness and compliance.

● Provide responsive support and clear communication to employees regarding immigration status, process, and next steps.

● Responsible for redeployment of consultants who are part of our immigration program. Will work together with our Sales and Business Development team to identify future client engagements.

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

● Minimum 2 years of experience working in employment-based immigration, preferably in an IT staffing or consulting environment.

● In-depth knowledge of H1B, STEM OPT, PERM, I-140, and related employment-based immigration processes.

● Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

● Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

● Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

● Proficiency in Google Suite and experience maintaining detailed records and documentation.
