Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager
Location: Hybrid - Chicago, IL

Our client, a private equity-backed international services firm with operations across the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager . This role is perfect for someone with international financial reporting consolidations experience who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage external international financial statements and audits, ensuring all audit and tax deadlines are met.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of GAAP financial statements to statutory reporting and tax filings.
• Collaborate with international accounting and support staff across different time zones.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing calculations and manage statutory filings.
• Manage intercompany and entity-related transactions.
• Drive process improvements through automation and full utilization of the company's close automation tool.
• Participate in monthly financial meetings to evaluate financial results.
• Provide essential control functions, including account reconciliations and general ledger analyses.
• Support the annual external consolidated audit process.
• Contribute to a continuous improvement environment within the department.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting; CPA preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance, with public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with international statutory accounting is required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with IFRS is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems knowledge; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate remotely and manage tasks across different time zones.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
