Job Description

This position involves providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting, serving a diverse caseload of students aged 3-19 years who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The role is part-time, approximately 16 hours per week, running from August 25, 2025, through April 17, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on staff leave needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations primarily, supporting individualized student needs
  • Collaborate with educational staff to design and implement therapy plans
  • Serve students across the full K-12 spectrum, adapting interventions to various ages and abilities
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including ASL training

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, or school settings
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience specifically in a school-based environment
  • Comfort working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing student populations is essential
  • ASL experience is a strong plus; willingness to learn ASL with courses provided by the school
