This position requires a 100% on-site presence, no remote work will be allowed.

What You’ll Be Rocking as Our Payroll Pro:

• Run the full biweekly payroll show for 760+ employees—exempt, non-exempt, union, non-union, and across multiple states—like a total boss!
• Decode and understand four unique CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements) to ensure every paycheck is spot-on.
• Handle all the behind-the-scenes payroll action: Managing benefit deductions, payroll taxes, garnishments, union dues, nonunion 401(k) contributions.
• Work with supervisors on their timecard corrections.
• Take charge of special payments and off-cycle payrolls like a pro.
• Be the go-to payroll guru for employee questions and support.
• Keep detailed, accurate records on garnishments, levies,—we know you’ve got the details covered.
• Partner up with the accounting team to reconcile payroll general ledger accounts with precision.
• Audit year-end W-2s and keep everything compliant and clean.
• Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to keep the data sharp and error-free.

Education, Experience, & Certifications:

• 3 + years of hands-on experience (or proven skills) processing payroll for 250+ employees per cycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment—with a mix of union, non-union, exempt, and non-exempt team members. You thrive in complexity and keep it all running smoothly!
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred, or actively working toward one, with certification required within your first year.
• Currently hold your CPP, and have already tackled payroll processing for 250+ employees without the overall years’ experience? We encourage you to still reach out!
• A degree in Human Resources or a related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) is preferred—we love lifelong learners!
• You're a pro with payroll software and SAAS-based HRIS platforms—bonus points if you've worked with Paylocity!
• A strong understanding of ledger entries and payment processing—you know your way around the books!
• Have experience processing Union Health & Welfare benefits plans? That’s a definite plus!
