Compensation : $80,000 base salary + performance bonus + full benefits package
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead daily operations at a specialty manufacturing and assembly facility. This role is ideal for a strong production supervisor or manufacturing manager ready to take the next step into full plant leadership. About the Role The Plant Manager will oversee a team of approximately 12 operators and technicians in a high-volume, safety-focused environment. This is not a desk job — we are looking for a leader who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with the team, and ensuring that schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.
Responsibilities
● Lead and coach a production team of ~12 employees, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
● Oversee day-to-day plant operations including scheduling, workflow, equipment, and quality checks.
● Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including OSHA and ISO practices.
● Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction) to improve efficiency and output.
● Partner with upper management on production planning, staffing, and process improvements.
● Manage reporting, inventory, and administrative tasks associated with the plant.
Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly leadership (Production Supervisor, Plant/Manufacturing Manager, or similar).
● Background in plastics, injection molding, thermoforming, light metal fabrication, packaging, or consumer products strongly preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and hold employees accountable.
● Working knowledge of Lean/5S, ERP/MRP systems, and safety/quality compliance.
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a floor-first leadership style.
