Job Details: $37-39/hour Job Type – Full time Exposed Firearm Permit required CA BSIS Guard Card required Job Summary This position is for an Armed Residential Security Team Agent. This position is tasked with numerous functions by providing support to a protective security detail in Santa Barbara, CA. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast paced environment. Below is an abbreviated list of the functions and responsibilities: Duties Duties for this detail include, but are not limited to: Ensure a safe and secure environment for principals in all settingsMaintain a knowledge of baseline principal, property and neighborhood activitiesMonitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television camera system and physical area checksMonitor traditional and social media for potential threatsDrive or tail principal/s, family member, guestsConduct advance work as neededScreen and track mail and deliveriesMonitor the following: ○ Weather and natural disasters○ Traffic○ Public safety incidents and trends○ Neighborhood watch programs○ Local and national current eventsCoordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasksComplete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principalsEnsures 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeepOperate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable lawsCoordinate with and support executive protection element of the team Position Qualifications 2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions Valid Driver License with clean driving record California BSIS Guard Card California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with 9mm endorsement CPR/AED/BLS certification through reputable institution Passport *All certifications must be current. Employees are responsible for keeping all certifications/licenses active. Required Skills and Traits Excels working in a team environment Exceptional emotional intelligence Strong customer service skills Strong situational awareness and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks frequently and for long durations High proficiency with firearms Excellent critical thinking and sound judgement Friendly, approachable and professional demeanor High moral and ethical character Desired Bachelor's degree Prior residential and/or fixed site security experience Prior training course/s in residential security or executive protection Training in defensive tactics and/or martial arts Advanced emergency medical certification - First Responder, EMT or paramedic Customer service experience Physical Requirements: Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary Prolonged periods sitting of 5+ hours at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment Prolonged periods of standing on your feet without a break 4-5+ hours Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time• Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crawl Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations Perform physical activities such as hiking, biking, swimming Detail Structure Full time position on a 24/7 detail working the following: Day and night shifts (545-1815, 1745-0615) Schedule varies, dependent on team needs Weekends Holidays Overtime/additional shifts as needed Domestic travel (if desired by the principal/s) Salary and Benefits Base pay rate of $37-39/per hour Pay structure per shift includes built-in overtime and double-time in accordance with California and federal laws Paid sick leave Employment with Keelson is at-will, meaning that you or Keelson may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
