A specialized dispensary in Alexandria, VA is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to step in for weekend coverage. Role Overview:
On-call and scheduled weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday)
Provide in-person and phone-based patient consultations
Guide patients and caregivers on safe cannabis use, dosing, and product selection
Ensure all dispensing and documentation is compliant with state and company policies
Participate in staff training and process development as needed
Key Requirements:
Virginia Pharmacist License (active and in good standing)
1+ year of retail pharmacy experience
Ability to adapt quickly and maintain professionalism in a new, regulated industry
Availability on weekends and flexibility with scheduling
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Metrc or cannabis retail systems
Previous experience in cannabis, though not required
Strong computer literacy and communication skills
Comprehensive product training and software onboarding will be provided before independent work begins.
