Extrusion Operator

Responsible for all stages of the extrusion process to ensure optimal standards for producing quality extruded sheet.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Monitor and control all aspects of quality assurance, rates, and yields.
2. Set up and control extrusion machinery to ensure optimal sheet production standards through monitoring blends, die adjustments, temperature profiles, speed settings, and collection systems.
3. Troubleshoot machine problems and assist maintenance to resolve equipment problems and/or make repairs.
4. Oversee equipment, products, and controls to identify problems, such as heat and pressure monitoring issues, malfunctions, and product color and quality integrity concerns.
5. Monitor the staging and disposition of raw materials and finished goods. Material handling when needed.
6. Perform extrusion machine adjustments, set-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.
7. Clean out blenders, mixers, and grinders as needed. Responsible for setting up blenders.
8. Observe all safety requirements and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition. This includes but is not limited to the product area, cleaning of the machine, and general cleaning.

Pay Range: 16.84 - 25.26
