Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills including basic skills ( grammar, punctuation and spelling )
Ability to work independently
Customer service and people skills
Work 10 to 15 hours per week during scheduled office hours.
Experience with Google Calendar and Email
Proficient with general office responsibilities: answering phones, customer service, data entry, and photocopying/scanning.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Intermediate typing skills (55wpm) with emphasis on accuracy
Ability to work independently and cooperatively and efficiently.

Preferred:

Interest in marketing, communications, fundraising and event planning.
Experience with PC computers.
Experience using social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)

Primary Responsibilities:

Answer phone, log people in/out mail (contact tracing), route mail, make copies, file, data entry, scanning, copying. Excellent computer skills, beyond basic, enter data, make/maintain spreadsheet and/or database, filing (a lot of filing). Scanning and other responsibilities deem as necessary. Assist where/when as needed.

The Annual Security & Fire Safety Report is available online at The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus. Sul Ross State University Alpine Campus is in the Scenic Davis Mountains of West Texas, is a member of the Texas State University System, is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate, Bachelors, and Masters degrees, and has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students of campus in Alpine, Texas. All RGC students hold an Associate degree from an accredited institution or they have completed 42 semester credit hours of transferrable work.
