Our client in Toronto is seeking a Machine Operator with Extrusion experience to join their team, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience operating and troubleshooting extrusion machines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Running the extrusion lines to make the required product
• Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die
• Problem solving - rectify any issues with seals, openings, length of the bag
• Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment such as hole punches, printing issues
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced
• Going up and down stairs - working on different mezzanines
• Put up the bubble, thread the line with the plastic
• Assist in packaging finished products
• Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change
• Perform quality checks to ensure accurate product and size requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• Extruder operator 1+ years of experience is an asset
• Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Must have experience running the extrusion lines
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Hours:

Monday to Thursday

7:30 am to 5 pm
