Job Overview

Shriners Childrens is looking for a full-time Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at Shriners Childrens Northern California. Successful candidates will be board certified/eligible and have successfully completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery. Candidates should be particularly adept and interested in treating pediatric patients dealing with neuromusculoskeletal conditions like cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

Schedule is Monday through Friday days with rotating weekend coverage and a negotiable amount of ER call.

The pay range for this position is $508,948-$771,855. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills the mission of excellence in patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and in the operating room
  • Fulfills the mission of excellence in research by performing scholarly clinical and/or translational research, presenting and publishing research findings, and obtaining extramural funding for research
  • Fulfills the mission of excellence in education by supervising and teaching students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Must have successfully completed an ACGME accredited orthopedic surgery residency program
  • Must have completed relevant fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics
  • Must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification and eligible for or in possession of Subspecialty Certification (SC) if appropriate
  • Must possess or be eligible for California state medical license
  • Experience treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders/conditions
